Brain plaque hunt in frail seniors: clues to dementia?
NCT ID NCT03129269
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at 344 frail older adults (70+) with memory issues to see how many have Alzheimer's-related brain plaques. Researchers used brain scans or spinal taps to check for these plaques and tracked thinking skills over two years. The goal was to understand how frailty and Alzheimer's pathology are linked, not to test a treatment.
