New pill combo aims to fight advanced cancers when other treatments fail
NCT ID NCT07287917
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding two oral drugs, AMXT 1501 and DFMO, to standard treatments can help people with advanced solid tumors (melanoma or a type of breast cancer) that have stopped responding to prior therapies. About 92 adults will receive the drug combo alongside their usual care. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if the combination shrinks tumors or slows disease progression.
