When amputation is the last hope: tracking the road to a prosthetic limb

NCT ID NCT07364266

Summary

This study looks back at the medical records of about 20 patients who had a limb amputated to stop severe, untreatable chronic pain (a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome). The goal is to understand how long it took them to get fitted with a prosthetic limb and return to activities. The findings aim to improve knowledge and care for future patients facing this rare and difficult decision.
