New skin graft made from birth tissue aims to heal stubborn leg wounds

NCT ID NCT07061613

Summary

This study is testing whether a special skin graft made from amniotic membrane (the inner lining of the placenta) can help heal chronic venous leg ulcers. Ten adult participants with these hard-to-heal wounds will receive the graft weekly along with standard compression therapy. Researchers will track how many wounds fully close, how quickly they heal, and whether they stay closed during follow-up.
