New wound grafts tested for stubborn diabetic and leg sores

NCT ID NCT07046767

Summary

This study is testing two types of amnion (placental) tissue grafts to see if they help heal stubborn diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers better than standard wound care alone. About 165 adults with ulcers that haven't healed well for at least 4 weeks will receive either a single-layer or triple-layer graft along with standard care. Researchers will compare their healing progress to similar patients from past records who received only standard care.
