Labor fluid flush may shield baby brains from infection harm

Summary
This study tests whether adding fluid into the uterus during labor (amnioinfusion) can reduce brain injury in newborns when the mother has a uterine infection. Researchers will measure brain injury markers in umbilical cord blood from 80 mothers with chorioamnionitis. Half will receive amnioinfusion plus standard care, and half will receive standard care alone.
