Oral combo aims to tame aggressive leukemia in patients out of options

NCT ID NCT04975919

Summary

This study is testing whether two oral cancer drugs, venetoclax and decitabine, can help control a fast-growing blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults for whom prior treatments have stopped working. The goal is to see if this combination can reduce cancer cells and improve blood counts, potentially allowing some patients to proceed to a stem cell transplant. Researchers will closely monitor how well the treatment works and its side effects in about 20 participants.
