New transplant strategy aims to beat High-Risk leukemia

NCT ID NCT06483906

Summary

This study is testing a multi-step treatment for adults with newly diagnosed, higher-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The goal is to use a combination of chemotherapy drugs to put the cancer into deep remission, followed by a stem cell transplant from a donor to try to keep it away. Researchers want to see if this approach helps patients live longer and prevents the cancer from coming back.
