New scan could give faster answers on whether leukemia treatment is working
NCT ID NCT02392429
Summary
This study is testing a special type of imaging scan (called FLT PET/CT) to see if it can accurately measure how well a patient's acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is responding to initial chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this scan, which tracks rapidly dividing cells, can provide a clearer and earlier picture of treatment success than current methods. Researchers will compare the scan results to standard bone marrow tests and track patient outcomes for up to a year.
