Summary
This study is testing whether adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have achieved deep remission can safely stop their chemotherapy for a period after one year of treatment. Researchers want to see if taking a break from treatment reduces side effects while still keeping the cancer from returning. The trial will follow 37 patients who have no detectable cancer cells remaining in their blood.
