New hope for leukemia patients when standard treatments fail

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a drug called venetoclax to a standard chemotherapy combination works better for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not responded to prior treatment. Researchers want to see if this approach helps clear more cancer cells from the body and helps patients live longer without their disease worsening. The study will compare the two-drug combination against the standard chemotherapy alone in about 52 participants.
