New drug could unmask hidden cancer cells

NCT ID NCT07392970

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to see if a single injection of a drug called motixafortide can help doctors find very small amounts of leftover leukemia cells in the blood. The study involves adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are in remission after initial chemotherapy. The main goal is to learn if the drug makes these hidden cancer cells easier to detect in a standard blood test, which could help guide future treatment decisions.
