Scientists test Triple-Threat attack on tough blood cancer
NCT ID NCT03041688
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new combination of three drugs—navtemadlin, decitabine, and venetoclax—for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned, is resistant to treatment, or is newly diagnosed in patients who cannot tolerate intensive chemotherapy. The main goals are to find the safest dose of the new drug navtemadlin when used with the other two and to understand the side effects. Researchers hope this three-drug approach will work better to control the cancer than current treatments.
