New hope for older AML patients: testing promising drug duo
NCT ID NCT04657081
Summary
This study is testing whether two drugs, ASTX727 and venetoclax, work well together and are safe for older adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who cannot tolerate intensive chemotherapy. Researchers want to see if the drugs interact safely in the body and whether the combination helps control the leukemia. The study involves about 101 participants who are either 75 or older, or have other health conditions that make standard chemotherapy too risky.
