First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tested two different chemotherapy combinations as follow-up treatment (consolidation) in younger adults (ages 18-59) with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who achieved remission after initial therapy. The goal was to see which regimen better prevents the cancer from returning. Participants received either the experimental CLARA regimen or the standard high-dose cytarabine (HDAC) regimen. The study measured how long patients remained cancer-free and monitored side effects.
