Summary

This small pilot study tested a new communication tool designed to help older adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and their caregivers have better conversations with their cancer doctors. The tool aimed to help patients clarify their treatment preferences and understand their health situation. Researchers wanted to see if the tool was easy to use and helpful for 15 patients, their caregivers, and their oncologists.
