First seen Jun 17, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 17, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether giving the drug aminophylline early or late during surgery helps children wake up faster after general anesthesia. Sixty children aged 4 to 12 having day surgery took part. They were split into three groups: one got the drug early, one got it late, and one got a placebo. The goal was to see which timing led to the quickest recovery of consciousness and readiness to go home.
