First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether amiloride, a drug usually used for high blood pressure, can reduce the number of migraine aura attacks (like seeing flashing lights or zigzag lines). About 40 adults with migraine with aura will take either amiloride or a placebo for a few months, then switch. The goal is to see if amiloride can prevent auras and improve daily life.
