This study tested whether a computer program (BestDose) could help doctors give the right amount of the antibiotic amikacin to patients with septic shock. The goal was to get drug levels in a safe and effective range after the second dose. 180 patients took part, and researchers checked if more patients reached the target levels with the software's help.
