First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a simple, painless addition at the end of a Pap test to see if it makes the experience less painful and encourages more women to get screened for cervical cancer. About 248 women aged 25 and older will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard Pap test or the modified version. Researchers will track how many women return for screening over the next three years.
