First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at 182 people who already had advanced AMD in one eye and intermediate AMD in the other. Researchers used a special test called microperimetry to measure light sensitivity and eye fixation, aiming to see if it could predict when the intermediate eye would progress to advanced AMD. The goal is to catch high-risk patients earlier so they can get treatment or support sooner.
