Scientists probe Eye's inner shield in Vision-Loss fight
NCT ID NCT07375901
Summary
This study aimed to understand how two common eye injections for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) affect a protective barrier inside the eye. Researchers measured protein levels in the eye fluid of 30 patients receiving either aflibercept or brolucizumab injections. The goal was to gather knowledge about the treatment's effects on the eye's internal environment, not to test a new cure.
