First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether using ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier is safe and feasible for people with mild Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment who are already receiving standard antibody therapy. The goal is to see if this approach can help more medication reach the brain. Fifteen participants will be monitored for side effects and changes in brain plaques and cognitive function.
