Could Alzheimer's protein be in your blood transfusion?
NCT ID NCT07157839
Summary
This study aims to see if a protein linked to Alzheimer's disease (called pTau217) is present in donated blood. Researchers will test about 250 blood plasma samples from a blood bank to measure how common this protein is. The goal is to gather information to help determine if blood with high levels of this protein should be used for transfusions.
