New PET tracer aims to spot Alzheimer's early in the brain

Summary
This study tests a new injection called [18F]-APN-1607 that makes certain Alzheimer's-related proteins visible on a PET brain scan. About 316 adults aged 50 and older with normal thinking, mild memory problems, or Alzheimer's dementia will participate. The goal is to see how accurately the scan detects Alzheimer's disease compared to standard methods.
