Neck injection trial aims to slow Alzheimer's decline

NCT ID NCT07351773

Summary

This study tested if a temporary nerve-blocking injection in the neck, given alongside standard Alzheimer's medications, could help improve thinking, memory, and daily life for people with the disease. Researchers compared two groups over six months: one received the injection procedure plus standard drugs, and the other received standard drugs alone. The goal was to see if the procedure was safe and could provide lasting benefits for cognition and quality of life.
