Could an eye scan spot Alzheimer's?

NCT ID NCT06514001

Summary

This study is testing a new eye scan to see if it can detect signs of Alzheimer's disease in the retina. Researchers will give a single injection of a special dye (AMDX-2011P) to 25 people with confirmed Alzheimer's and then take detailed pictures of their eyes. The main goals are to check if the procedure is safe and to see if the dye highlights protein deposits linked to Alzheimer's in the back of the eye.
