New clues in the blood could spot Alzheimer's earlier
NCT ID NCT07353502
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at how a specific substance in the brain (the miR-342-5p/AnkG pathway) may be linked to early nerve cell problems in Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will measure this substance in blood and spinal fluid from 40 people with Alzheimer's and compare it to their memory test scores and brain scans. The goal is to find a simple way to detect the disease earlier, not to test a treatment.
