Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called 50561 to see if it could help people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. 68 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo (a dummy pill) for 24 weeks. Researchers measured changes in memory, thinking skills, and the ability to perform daily activities to see if the drug was effective and safe.
