Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called ALTO-100 in 301 adults with moderate to severe major depression. Some participants took the drug alone, others added it to their current antidepressant. The goal was to see if ALTO-100 reduces depression symptoms better than a placebo, especially in people with certain characteristics. The trial is now complete.
