Scientists probe why altitude training works for some athletes, not others
NCT ID NCT07337928
Summary
This study aims to understand why some elite female cyclists benefit more from altitude training than others. Researchers will closely monitor 30 athletes for five months, tracking their sleep patterns and menstrual cycles before, during, and after a high-altitude training camp. The goal is to learn if these factors explain the differences in how athletes' bodies adapt to training at altitude.
