First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at how well the clot-dissolving drug alteplase works in people having a stroke caused by a blood clot. Fifty-eight patients received the drug within three hours of their first symptoms. Researchers measured whether blood flow returned to the blocked area and how many patients recovered with little or no disability after three months, while also checking for serious side effects like bleeding in the brain.
