New drug trial aims to slow devastating ALS progression
NCT ID NCT06365216
Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental drug called NX210c can slow the progression of ALS, a fatal nerve disease that causes muscle weakness and paralysis. About 80 adults with early-stage ALS will receive either the drug or a placebo through intravenous infusions. Researchers will measure whether the treatment protects nerve cells and helps maintain the brain's protective barrier.
