Summary

This large, late-stage trial is testing whether adding an experimental drug called masitinib to the standard ALS medication riluzole works better than riluzole alone. The goal is to see if the combination can slow down the worsening of ALS symptoms and help patients function longer. The study will involve 495 adults with ALS who are already taking riluzole.
