Natural compounds tested in fight against ALS
NCT ID NCT04654689
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of two natural antioxidants (curcumin and resveratrol) delivered in a special form, plus a repurposed drug, could help control Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). It involved 90 adults with ALS who were randomly assigned to receive either the active treatment or a placebo for two months. Researchers measured changes in physical function, strength, thinking skills, and markers of inflammation to see if the treatment could slow the disease.
