Stem cell hope for ALS: first human safety trial launches

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new treatment made from stem cells that may help replace damaged nerve cells in people with ALS. The main goal is to check if the treatment is safe and tolerable for 12 adults aged 18-75 with definite or probable ALS. Participants will receive injections of the cells and be monitored for side effects and any signs of improvement.
