Scientists probe Gut's role in ALS progression
NCT ID NCT07178067
Summary
This completed observational study looked at the connection between gut health and ALS. Researchers measured substances produced by gut bacteria in 44 people with ALS and healthy volunteers. They also explored whether following a Mediterranean diet for six months changed these substances or the rate of ALS progression.
