First human test of Single-Shot gene therapy for ALS begins

Summary
This is an early-stage study to check the safety of a new, one-time gene therapy called VTx-002 for people with ALS. It will involve 12 participants who will receive a single injection and be closely monitored for up to 5 years. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, while also looking for early signs that it might slow the progression of the disease.
