Home vs hospital: finding the best way to start breathing help for ALS
NCT ID NCT06286917
Summary
This study aims to find out if starting noninvasive breathing support (NIV) for ALS patients with chronic breathing problems can be done just as well at home as in the hospital. It will compare how much patients use the device, how well their blood gases improve, and the costs of each approach. The goal is to determine the most effective and practical setting for beginning this important supportive therapy.
