First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study follows 100 people with ALS to see how their autonomic and sensory nerves change over time. Researchers will use skin biopsies and other tests to look for signs of nerve damage. The goal is to find markers that could help predict disease progression and be used in future treatment trials. Healthy volunteers of similar age and sex will be compared to the ALS group.
