Radioactive seeds target tumors in new cancer treatment trial

NCT ID NCT03886181

Summary

This study tested a new cancer treatment that places tiny radioactive seeds directly into tumors. The seeds release alpha radiation to try to shrink skin, mouth, or soft tissue cancers. Researchers wanted to see if this approach was safe and if it could reduce tumor size in adults with certain types of cancer.
