Cord blood cells tested as new shot for stubborn back pain

NCT ID NCT05909709

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether an injection called Alocyte, made from umbilical cord blood components, is safe for treating chronic back pain caused by worn facet joints in the spine. The study will enroll 15 adults with long-term pain that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Researchers will give different dose levels via injection directly into the painful joints and monitor for side effects while also checking if pain improves.
