Can a handful of almonds a day boost fitness and health for older adults?
NCT ID NCT04778371
Summary
This study is testing whether eating almonds as a daily snack can improve fitness, energy levels, and body composition in active, overweight adults aged 50-59. Fifty participants will eat almonds twice a day for 12 weeks and then switch to a different snack for another 12 weeks, so researchers can compare the effects. The goal is to see if this simple dietary change can help manage weight and improve physical function as people age.
