Safer surgery: new test pinpoints anesthesia allergies
NCT ID NCT01305161
Summary
This study tested a blood test to identify which specific muscle-relaxing drugs used during surgery cause allergic reactions. Researchers enrolled 129 adults who had experienced allergic reactions during previous anesthesia. The goal was to create a better diagnostic tool so doctors could determine which alternative drugs would be safe for future surgeries.
