Scientists map allergy genes in nose and lungs

NCT ID NCT01923519

Summary

This study aimed to understand how allergies develop in the airways by comparing gene activity in cells from the nose and lungs. Researchers collected samples from 44 young adults with and without allergies to see how their cells respond differently. The goal was to learn more about why some people develop allergic conditions like asthma and rhinitis.
