Pill combo could replace harsh chemo for High-Risk leukemia
NCT ID NCT04817241
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two oral medications (ASTX727 and venetoclax) can work as well as standard intravenous chemotherapy for younger adults (ages 18-65) with a high-risk form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The goal is to find a safe, effective dose and see if the all-oral approach improves outcomes like survival without the cancer returning. Only 5 participants were enrolled in this early-phase trial.
