Summary
This study aimed to see if Alkagin paste could prevent radiation-induced skin burns in people receiving radiation to the pelvic area for cancers like anal, rectal, or gynecological cancers. Only 2 participants were enrolled before the study was terminated early, so no meaningful conclusions can be drawn. The paste was applied preventively to see if it reduced skin toxicity compared to standard care.
