Summary

This study is testing a new decision-making tool to help nurses place IV catheters in patients with hard-to-find veins. About 800 adults who need an IV will take part. The tool uses a simple score to predict difficulty and suggests the best approach, which could reduce multiple needle sticks, pain, and complications.
