First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding photosynthetic microalgae to a skin regeneration scaffold helps deep wounds heal faster and with fewer infections. Twenty adults with full-thickness skin wounds will receive either a standard scaffold or one containing algae. The goal is to see if the algae's oxygen production speeds up granulation and improves skin quality.
