Drug tested in kids with MS after other treatments fail

NCT ID NCT03368664

Summary

This study tested a drug called alemtuzumab in children and teenagers (ages 10-17) with relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS) whose disease was still active despite being on other standard MS medications. The goal was to see if switching to alemtuzumab could better control their MS by reducing new brain lesions and relapses. The study was terminated early and enrolled only 16 participants over a planned 5-year period.
